How long is the days hire for? You are able to keep the bouncy castle for the whole day. We start delivery any time from 9am, and the normal end time would be from 6pm (actual times depend on the numbers we have to set-up/collect on the day, so book early to get your required time slot). Bouncy castles can be kept later - up to 10pm - but there will be an additional charge for this. Please note however that for safety reasons the bouncy castles cannot be used outdoors after dusk, unless it is a well-lit area. We will also require good illumination in order to pack up at the end of the hire What about the British weather? We have shower covers for most of our bouncy castles, but they are just shower covers. If it is wet on your hire day, let us know first thing in the morning if you wish to cancel. You will not be charged for the cancellation What space is required for the bouncy castle? As a general rule, in addition to any sizes quoted for each bouncy castle, you will need to allow an additional 6 feet front and back of the castle and 4 feet either side. In an ideal world 10 feet all around would be great! I'm still not sure if it will fit in No problem. Just call us, and we will happily visit to determine the maximum size of bouncy castle which can fit What do I need to provide? We need at least a 3 feet passageway into the garden. In addition, a patch of grass larger than the requested bouncy castle which is clear of all obstructions such as rocks, ornaments, large stones and dog mess. If this is not available we will not erect the bouncy castle. In addition, we will need access to a power point within 25 feet of the bouncy castle How do I book? Simple. Call 01933 270429, 07764 481291 or email charlotte@borobounces.co.uk Do I need to pay a booking deposit? No, we do not ask for deposits, the payment is made in full on the day when we set up the bouncy castle for you How can I pay? Payment is collected upon delivery of the bouncy castle, it can be either cash or cheque if accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card. Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to accept credit or debit cards. Cheques should be made payable to "boro bounces" What areas do you cover? We cover within a ten mile radius of Wellingborough. We may travel further (local customers take priority), and will advise if we will have to apply an additional travelling charge If I'm outside the area, can I collect the bouncy castle myself? Unfortunately due to insurance reasons, this is not possible Do you provide instructions? We provide safety operating instructions for all our inflatables, which must be read by the hirer or a suitable responsible adult, and the responsible person must ensure these safety guidelines are followed at all times Why is ID required? One form of ID is required which shows your name and address. An example of this is a recent utility bill, or drivers licence. This is a requirement of our insurers, so must be produced on the hire day How much deposit is required? No deposit is required, unless multiple day hire has been agreed Are you a member of any trade associations? Yes, we are members of the "British Inflatable Hirers Association", and strictly follow their guidelines Are there any age limits Yes, we will not allow anybody over the age of 14 on any of our inflatables, which in turn means they are designed and built with that age limit in mind. If we find anybody over that age is or has been using the inflatable we will have to send it off for complete safety testing, which costs around £80. The hirer will be held responsible and will be expected to pay for all testing costs and any losses incured through not being able to hire the inflatable out. What happens if there is a problem with the bouncy castle? This is very unlikely, all our castles are in top condition with a life expectancy of up to ten years, however there are instructions within the Conditions Of Hire for dealing with minor problems. If you are unable to resolve the problem yourself then contact us and we will be with you as soon as possible. What happens if the weather turns bad? If it is just light rain, try to give the air blower a little shelter (without totally covering it!) and expect the bouncy castle to get very slippery! If it is a storm or high winds then get everybody off the bouncy castle immediately and deflate it by switching the power off. Bouncy castles have very high wind resistance and very little weight to counter it - so if it managed to break free of its ground stakes the castle could literally blow over. All our castles have a RCD circuit breaker on the extension lead for additional safety I want a castle today. Can you help? The earlier you book, the greater your choice of castle. That said, if we have a castle available we will gladly provide a same-day service Are your castles safe? Our castles receive an annual safety test - an MOT for the castle. As mentioned above we inspect the area and will advise of any potential safety hazards, to help make your childrens bouncing safer. If the site is just unsafe, we will cancel the hire for your protection. You, the hirer, are responsible for ensuring proper adult supervision of the castle and the safety of the children using the equipment, and to ensure all the safety instructions are followed. Safety first, fun second Are your castles clean? Yes, we maintain our castles to a very high standard, they are cleaned after every hire |
